The water sector in Scotland provides:

• 16,600 direct jobs,
• annual turnover of £3.7 billion, and
• annual Gross Value Added of £1.7 billion.

These are some of the key findings of a report recently published by Scottish Enterprise based on research carried out by Optimat. Over 120 companies were interviewed to gather evidence to calculate key economic impacts, recent growth trends and plans for the future.
