Public Procurement workshop to improve the efficiency, quality and sustainability of healthcare
September 16, 2013

Optimat played a leading role in the organisation of a pioneering workshop in Oxford on 16th September 2012 on how European hospitals can work collectively on outcome-based procurement actions that will improve the efficiency, quality and environmental sustainability of healthcare. The workshop was an important milestone in the EU/CIP/EcoQUIP project, which Optimat is managing on behalf of 10 partners, including six hospitals in five European countries. It is aimed at encouraging more joint actions by hospitals to identify unmet needs for innovative new solutions and the wider use of outcome-based procurement specifications. Task Groups have been established in five priority areas for innovation and future workshops will be organised in 2014, 2015 and 2016.
