‚ ‘We are delighted to announce that, together with our partner, The Data City, we will be supporting Greater Manchester Combined Authority (GMCA) in their work to accelerate the rate of innovation among Greater Manchester’s advanced materials and manufacturing sectors, as part of the region’s Local Industrial Strategy. Our aim is to develop a more detailed understanding of the advanced materials and manufacturing sector and sub-sectors in the region and to assess both the drivers of, and barriers to, innovation activity amongst companies in these sectors. The outputs, which will include recommendations and actions, will be used by GMCA to formulate policy and targeted interventions to accelerate company innovation and the commercialisation of new products and processes, and further develop the city region as an innovation cluster for advanced materials and manufacturing‚Äù
