European study on the benefits of improving links between innovation and standardization
February 27, 2015

Optimat has signed a contract with European standardization organisations CEN/CENELEC to carry out a study on the benefits of linking innovation and standardization. It will support the EU-sponsored BRIDGIT project involving a consortium of national standardization bodies that are exploring options to bridge the gap between the two communities. For example, standards can provide the basis for new research and standardization can be a highly effective route to overcome barriers to the exploitation of new technologies. The results of the study will be presented at the BRIDGIT European Conference in Brussels on 30th October 2014. More details from Angus Hunter or at www.cencenelec.eu/research.
